MINUTES OF THE MOROCCO CONSERVANCY DISTRICT

January 5, 2021

Attendance- King Clark, Duke Gagnon, Bob Gonczy, Bill Smart, and Scott Hivley were in attendance.  Town employee Brian Vanderwall was also in attendance. Attorney Dan Blaney was in attendance.

 

Approval of the Minutes: Bob made a motion to approve the December 1, 2020 minutes Scott seconded. Motion passed 5-0.

 

Treasurers Report: The balance in the checking account as of 12/31/20 is $36,090.86. We received our tax draw in the amount of $31, 311.83 on December 28.

Claims:

Brownfield Insurance $1362.00

Yoder Drainage $650 (Beaver St.)

Duke made a motion to pay the claims and Scott seconded. Motion passed 5-0.

 

New Business:

Discussion on the solar panel design at the Morocco grade School. The Conservancy Board is in favor of partnering with the school to reroute the tile in the parking lot. The school would relocate the carport to the middle of the parking lot. We also referring to our legal council to clean up the legal descriptions on the easements and rewrite new ones. Bob is going to get estimates and see about getting locates done. He will then report back to the Board. Bob made a motion to accept this proposal and Scott seconded. Motion passed 5-0.

In other new business the Board made a motion for Dan to send Serrano’s a letter for obstruction of a drain. The are not allowing us on their property to finish a project.

Jack Anderson attended the meeting. He is wanting the Conservancy to install a tile that he can hook up to. We are going to put a tile in the alley and run it west. This is north of Jack’s house under the road.

Michigan St. between Lincoln & Polk

The ditch needs to be filled in.

 

Lincoln & Beaver Project

We want to improve the catch basin and grade the corners.

 

The next meeting will be on February 2, 2021.
